I'll tell you what there was, a terrific - this was for people who worked there - you ate a lot of Spam, it came over in the ship load. Lovely stuff ... I grew very fond of it. Proper American Spam. And it used to come over with loads of lease-lend stuff from America, and Kelloggs had got the whack of that, of course. And it was used for so many meals, either salads or it was fried, it was battered, with potatoes and other vegetables as the meat. So that was a notable thing then. With the range of products diminishing and only being on wheat, we could get wheat flakes, but the perks had faded away until it started up again.
